This is a sculptural departure from the very popular Henaini piece.  Henaini means "Here I Am" and the word Moses uses to respond to God when called upon at the burning bush.  And yet it means so much more that "Here I Am", it means I am ready, willing to show up.  It is the ultimate expression of being fully present.  

The use of flames evokes the image of a burning bush, flames that never consume what it burns.  In this special series I have sculpted the paper to rise right up off the paper, creating a stunning 3 dimensional work that captures the eye and heart.

This is a limited edition of 18 pieces, hand done, signed and numbered and framed using a solid wood oak frame, stained neutral grey.  It comes with a certificate of authenticity, artist write up, wired and ready for hanging.

The Hebrew word is Hinaini (×”× × ×™), is very powerful, literally meaning “Here I am!” 
It is a response to being called upon, but watch out how you say it, because it is a way of expressing total readiness to give oneself – it’s an offer of total availability. 

Used in our lives today, Henaini speaks of being fully willing to show up, ready to pay attention, ready for action, being devoted and fully present. 

Reflective of this call, I have repeated the letters of Henaini 4 times in the form of flames in this mixed media painting.  The calligraphic text represents the firey burning bush - a fire which never consumes itself.

When God called out to Moses from the burning bush, Moses replied, “Hineni!” And you know what assignment he was given, and what happened next. When God approached Abraham to ask him to offer his only son as a sacrifice, Abraham responded, “Hineni!” not knowing what God was about to ask. God called out to the young boy Samuel three times before Samuel finally responded, “Hineni! I’m listening!” Many hundreds of years later, when God asked who would go for him in Isaiah 6, and the prophet willingly offered himself with a cry of “Hineni!” Send me!”

I have rhythmically repeated word Henaini 4 times in calligraphic text as flames of the fiery burning bush - a fire which never consumes itself.

It speaks of willingness, devotion and being fully present.
