This piece exudes JOY in every way! On my birthday I received glorious multicoloured roses from my family. Wanting to make that magical beauty last, I
dried them, hanging them upside-down in the kitchen with the notion of creating a piece one day…I got rolling, forming the dress, delicately taking each dried flower apart, petal by petal. The colours were brilliant and filled me with joy. The image on the bodice of dancers in mid-air, arms raised toward the heavens was perfect for the torso. 

And the butterflies…

The butterflies are each hand painted, carefully cut and wings shaped for lift off. They are everywhere! Look carefully and you will see butterflies flying up the skirt, in amongst the flower petals, transitioning from skirt to bodice and up, around the neck, fluttering up and out from the inside of the dress, lifting our eyes and spirits. This piece was truly a joy to create, and joy is what it will bring to your life! 

Framed in a museum quality acrylic shadowbox on hardwood stretcher with heavy duty D strap hangers, it is ready to install whenever you are.
